It honestly floors me that the only time Gabrielle had a proper kiss scene past seasons 1&2 it was with Xena because that’s the only one Renee allowed to happen.

so! as we first established in my fic, you were part of the original guardians of the globe until a falling out with the immortal resulted in you completely withdrawing yourself from the team for some time now.

you were on a well deserved paid time off as the GDA technically still had you employed for your abilities.

regarding your abilities... What exactly are they?

( imagine the colours as anything you like !! i just chose blue green and yellow bc they're pretty :-) ) born with the ability to alter very sound to your will, you're able to do anything you can put your mind to. the GDA recognised that having you as an ally would be more beneficial to them rather than having you as an enemy so they decided pretty early on in discovering your powers to recruit you.

your powers are a mystery to the GDA on how they work completely as they don't have a faintest clue as to where exactly they even come from. any heavy injuries you may have sustained in the past was rapidly healed up as if you were from a different planet entirely— these powers kept you alive whether you wanted it or not.

the GDA, in an attempt to aid (control) your powers more thoroughly, they created mechanical implants within you that allows you to make holographic projections of your music. this allows you to more efficiently use your powers, switching from an upbeat energising tune that empowers your teammates to a more gentle, sleep inducing lullaby that heals virtually any wound. you can play any genre of music and have it aid those who you want to help. hell, you can even dance to the tune you make to amplify it if you'd like!

the music, once heard by those you wish to help, brings in a feeling of elation and joy, as if they could take on the world. it's sort of like a rallying cry of sorts, inspiring the hero to keep on fighting while your music gives them a literal damage and healing boost. those who have been under the influence of this music have reported feeling extra rejuvenated and happy after a tough battle that requires you to be there. though, oddly, it seems that any alien species, especially viltrumites, are affected even more than human superheroes.

anyone under your melody feels influenced to do as your music says, whether that be good or bad. for you, it is mostly instinctual but sometimes emotional outbursts can cause heroes and villains alike to suffer if you so deeply desired it.

the GDA reports that you are ( supposedly ) a more supportive/defensive hero, thus deploying you when there must be crowds to be protected from any imminent dangers.

because of your specific niche of power, you have become extremely popular amongst the masses, even after you retired. it's become the celebrity life almost, which is the reason why in the fic you have a place away from the city for privacy and safety reasons.

so retirement was bound to happen! the stress had been getting to you for some time now and it was starting to give you early grey hairs. you were an idol of sorts to these people and that lifestyle did not suit you. it was a matter of time and you would preferred it when it didn't involve you almost dying.

rewatching the lone star cross over with the knowledge/confirmation that buck's bi is sooooo funny, because look at him

if you saw these still out of context in what world would you assume they're from a scene where buck is consoling tk about his dad being presumed dead? like no wonder tk clocked his ass.

it's even more hilarious that this interaction apparently set off zero alarm bells in buck's head and so it took him a whole three more years to come out. he really just thought he allied too close to the sun.

all i'm saying is buck's lucky tommy was single because otherwise he would've carried on accidentally flirting with hot queer firemen and never putting the pieces together.

hi lately i’ve really become obsessed with scripting and i keep forgetting that it’s actually real. i just see it as some other ‘reality’ that does exist but i don’t see myself actually there, only in my head. do you have any advice on how to fall back in love with shifting or something along those lines?

well, this is often a multifaceted issue, if it's really an issue at all. my initial question would be "why do you want this to change?" what are you hoping the result would be? are you trying to be happier, to shift easier, to clear your mind, etc. figuring out what your goal is or what result you want, and then consider whether doing those things will actually help achieve it.

a) if you're thinking it'll make you shift, i'd remind that there are plenty of people who are in love with shifting, do think of themself as real in other realities, and don't obsess over scripting and still don't shift. thinking of these things as being the things that stop you from shifting might not be accurate. some people don't even believe shifting is even real, and then shift. some people are obsessed with their scripts and shift all the time. some people who have shifted fall out of love with shifting. basically, anything along these lines that you think is what's "holding you back," isn't necessarily actually stopping you from shifting.

b) if you're scripting without thinking of that reality as real, or of yourself as really there, then my question would be: do you actually want to shift there? like, deep reflection for a moment, do you really want to be real in that reality? people have created self inserts and OCs and lore and fanfictions and fanart and written self indulgent stories and daydreamed probably since we were capable of thought, and there's nothing wrong with that. if that's the part making your brain happy, and that's the part that interests you, just do that. you don't have to shift there. it doesn't have to be real to be worthy of your time or interest.

c) if you're hoping to be happier or have a clearer mind, or this obsession with scripting is getting in the way of your day to day life, that's a different issue. humans are prone to escapism, especially when they lack other coping mechanisms. escapism isn't inherently bad, used a healthy amount it can reduce stress, relax, rejuvenate. but taken to an extreme, it interferes with responsibilities and relationships, or can be otherwise harmful. if you're using scripting or obsessing over shifting as a method of maladaptive daydreaming, or if it's a facet of dissociation and depersonalization, i'd recommend asking a professional or trusted adult for help with developing other coping skills (or help reducing stressors in your life.) the best way to reduce unhealthy coping mechanisms is to 1) have a healthy replacement, and 2) reduce exposure to the thing you're needing to cope with.

Oh this is such a good question!

While I do have aspects that I love about both portrayals my overall favourite is undoubtedly Jeff’s.

In Time Bastard we get to see Tinky be absolutely deranged when it comes to fucking around with Ted, and Jeff manages to protrude that sadistic energy entirely. The laugh alone solidifies that for me. Jeff has such a way with playing unhinged characters (Hidgens in Workin’ boys, Aladdin in Twisted, The father in Trail to Oregon, etc) that I don’t think there is a better Starkid actor to play Tinky.

While Grace, Steph and Pete are acted as being scared in The Summoning honestly wasn’t that scary? For me at least? Idk it was more silly (don’t get me wrong I love The Summoning scene it just didn’t have that scare factor- I mean Curts dancing around in neon yellow). And while I do like Tinky having a more silly goofy side to him I prefer the portrayal of that having a more sadistic streak, as seen in Time Bastard.

I know that in The Summoning the LIBs “hold court in your own tongue and form”, (aka appear as teenagers) makes sense story wise and for a on stage preformance. But I’m a big fan of horror, so even the description Tinky being a:

“A solidarity figure. It wears a baggy, furry body- suit. It’s yellow and matted. Dirty. Stinking. Worst of all is its head. A motionless, demented goat mask. It has glassy, evil eyes, a slack jaw with big crooked teeth, a flopping wet tongue”.

Fuck so hard to me. That shit slaps ok. Tinky being refered to a “The thing”, “This creature”, “The nightmare goat”, in the Time Bastard script? Give me more of that please.

(I know that this isn’t particularly pertaining to Jeff’s portrayal, more of the script writing, but they go hand in hand. The script is only as good as the actors can make it. And Jeff does that description of Tinky so much justice).

All that being said- when it comes to drawing Tinky I prefer to draw him as Curt (plus a few extra things added to put my own spin on the design) due to that being his first human form portrayal. Also because I can’t draw goats.

Despite all this, I need it to be known that “oh boy! A spankoffski! I’m going to have the whole set in my toy box!” has and will continue to rot in my brain for many more months to come.

Hey guys I have a question. And please be honest.

So I work for Scentsy (under my mom’s name since she worked for them originally) and I was wondering if you guys would like some posts about it. I know Scentsy isn’t the best but it works for be with my school and disabilities. I also know a lot of people love Scentsy for many reasons but don’t really want to support a trumpie. Cause let’s be honest here…most people who work for Scentsy are.

I’m asking this question because I know Scentsy wax scents and oils can be helpful for shifters who are tying to connect with their drs, and for therians who want to feel more at home. Along with witchcraft and spiritual stuff (for people who can’t use candles) I know a lot about the psychology of scents (thanks to my therapist and books) and would love to share my knowledge.

My posts will still remain mostly about shifting and anything spiritual, but if you guys are okay with it occasionally I will post about Scentsy in relation to shifting, therian, etc…

I am not asking you guys to buy from me at all btw! I just want to offer more support to people and maybe help them!
